I have worked as a professional journalist for a decade. I got my start as a sports reporter and later moved on to features,
then news and business, serving in a variety of roles, including copy
editor, assignment editor and page designer at several newspapers in
the New York area. I went to college at Columbia University, where I earned a bachelors degree in history and spent countless hours working for the student paper, working my way up through the sports department and becoming editor in chief. I then earned a master's degree at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
A native New Yorker, I recently returned from an around-the-world honeymoon with my wife, Carolina, and am back to rooting on my beloved Mets. You can read about our trip on our travel blog (which we're still finishing up) and see pictures on our Flickr photostream. Beyond baseball, I am also interested in art, architecture, movies and food. And as you can see from our photostream, I enjoy taking photos, too. You can get in touch with me at nhale6 [at] gmail.com. | ![]() |
